Manufacturing

PRECISION BEGINSAT THE MANUFACTURING FLOOR.

Five stages, each with its own acceptance point. An instrument that fails one does not move to the next.

Material

Stock is selected for the instrument family it will become and kept identified through the floor. Material that cannot be traced back to its intake does not enter production.

Acceptance: identification and condition on intake.

Precision processing

Forming, machining and grinding to the pattern. Working geometry is set on fixtures rather than by eye, so the fiftieth unit matches the first.

Acceptance: dimensional check against the pattern reference.

Finishing

Edges, tips and surfaces are finished, then alignment is rechecked — finishing removes material, and removing material can move a jaw out of true.

Acceptance: tip alignment and surface condition.

Inspection

Function is checked the way the instrument will be used: a scissor is closed, a forceps is gripped, a needle holder is loaded. Dimensions are verified against the reference sample.

Acceptance: functional and dimensional check, recorded.

Packaging

Protective packing suited to the instrument and the transit it faces, in the format the partner has specified — individual pouches, configured trays or bulk for assembly.

Acceptance: count, marking and packing format.

Process descriptions on this page are written for the demonstration build and are marked internally as placeholder content. Actual equipment, capacity and process detail are to be supplied and verified by Bilink International.

Working with us

Bring us a drawing or an instrument.

Most partner programmes start with a physical sample and a conversation about what it needs to do differently.
